Overview
Zhiguo He, Special-Term Professor of Finance at the International School of Finance, Fudan University, the James Irvin Miller Professor of Finance at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University. He is also a Research Associate at NBER, and serves as the Special-term Alibaba Foundation visiting Professor at Tsinghua University, School of Economics and Management. Before joining Stanford GSB, he was the Fuji Bank and Heller Professor of Finance and Jeuck Faculty Fellow at Chicago Booth, and was the director of Becker Friedman Institute for Economics in China at the University of Chicago and the faculty co-director of the Fama-Miller Center at Chicago Booth.
He has been named a 2014 Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellow, and has won numerous awards for his outstanding scholastic record, including Lehman Brothers Fellowship for Research Excellence in Finance in 2007, the Swiss Finance Institute Outstanding Paper Award in 2012, the Smith-Breeden First Prize in 2012 and the Brattle Group First Prize in 2014 and 2021.
His research has been published in leading academic journals including American Economic Review, Econometrica, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, and Journal of Financial Economics. After serving as associate editors for several leading academic journals including the Review of Financial Studies and the Journal of Finance, He served as the guest editor of the Review of Finance “Special Issue on China” and currently serves as the editor of the Review of Asset Pricing Studies.
He earned his doctor degree in Finance from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University in 2008, his master degree in 2001 and his bachelor degree in 1999 from Tsinghua University.
