Fudan FISF FMBA Program: Committed to Cultivating the Financial Leaders of Tomorrow

On April 18, 2020, the inauguration of the Fudan University Fanhai International School of Finance (FISF) FMBA Program was streamed live online. Professor Huafeng (Jason) Chen, the academic director of the Program and Professor of Finance at FISF officially announced the Program Admission Kick-off 2021 intake, and formally launched Fudan University Full-time Finance MBA:  FMBA FT+. 

First, Professor Chen briefly introduced the concept and major characteristics of the Fudan FISF FMBA: The Program’s pursuit of excellence is based on the three main pillars of “Rigor”, “Relevance”, and “Responsibility”. Moreover, strong foundations of the Program are the first-class faculty, modern school management principles, diverse talent from a variety of backgrounds, and sound professional curriculum. 

Next, Professor Chen highlighted three key elements of the FMBA curriculum: the core courses and the integrated interdisciplinary electives not only provide depth of specialized knowledge, but also expand its breadth; the LIVE experiential courses, a unique opportunity for professional development, elevate students through irreplaceable practical experience; the L.I.T.E. courses shape future financial leaders with a global vision, professionals who are driven by sense of social responsibility and innovation. This comprehensive curriculum (4 modules of 16 core courses in year 1; electives and thesis in year 2) lays the solid grounds of the core theories and construct of modern finance, while the practical business experience fosters soft skills, help students realize their true potential, and grow into senior financial talent with rich capabilities. 

Furthermore, the Program academic director emphasized the cultivation of an international vision as another essential feature of Fudan FISF FMBA. As a matter of fact, the FMBA FT+ will be taught exclusively in English. Besides, in terms of the curriculum design, both the full-time and the part-time Finance MBA programs offer modules with international-focused courses. To further encourage global perspective and cross-cultural collaboration, the Program offers learning opportunities and exchange programs with top world universities. FISF FMBA students can enjoy the chance of enrolling twice at famous overseas schools for 1-2 weeks, for which they will obtain a certificate (it is required that students participate at least once).
