Prof. Pentland is founder and director of Trust Data Consortium (trust.mit.edu) which develops technology for trustworthy, privacy-preserving sharing of data for countries and companies. He is Board member of UN Foundation's Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data, the American Bar Association, and previously of AT&T, Google and Nissan. He is co-creator of the MIT Media Lab, and played a pioneering role in the formation of EU privacy regulation and UN Sustainable Development Goals. He is a member of the U.S. National Academies and one of the most-cited computer scientists in the world.
