Xian Xu, Professor by Courtesy in Finance at the International School of Finance, Fudan University.

Prof. Xian Xu now works as the professor at School of Economics, head of Department of Insurance and Risk Management, director of China Insurance and Social Security Research Center, executive director of Insurance Innovation and Investor at Fudan University. He is currently serving as a council member of the Insurance Society of China, vice chairman of Shanghai Insurance Association, a research associate at the Centre for European Economic Research in Germany. He is rewarded by the British Academy Newton Advanced Fellowship (UK), Leading National Accounting Talent of the Ministry of Finance, and many other talented researcher programs. Prof. Xu is editorial board member for Disaster Prevention and Management: An International Journal, Insurance Studies, China Insurance and Shanghai Insurance.

Professor Xu obtained his Ph.D. in Insurance at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany.
