Chen's English studies are published in top journals of economics and political science, such as American Political Science Review, American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, and Journal of Growth Economics, and Chinese results are published in Economic Research, Financial Research, Managing the World, World Economy, Statistical Research, and Economics (Quarterly) and other authoritative domestic journals. Chen Shuo is also actively involved in other social activities, serving as editor of the editorial department of the World Economic Exchange magazine and an anonymous reviewer of several academic magazines at home and abroad.
