On April 21^st, Fudan Western International Financial Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as the “Institute”) and Sichuan Provincial Talent Group held a seminar in Chengdu. Executive Deputy Dean Xiaobin Jin, Deputy Dean Yuanhong Li of the Institute, and Yishuai Zhang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Board Chairman of Sichuan Provincial Talent Group, attended the seminar. Both parties conducted in-depth discussions on joint talent cultivation, technology achievement transformation, AI applications and other core topics, their aim to achieve mutual integration, empowerment of the talent-powered province strategy of Sichuan, and service the construction of new quality productive forces and modernized industrial system.

At the seminar, both parties decided to cooperate in three aspects based on the disciplinary advantage of Fudan University and the key industrial demands of Sichuan Province: firstly, they focused on establishing a double-track talent cultivation system of “degree education plus non-degree training” and cultivating compound “financial plus industrial” talents, in order to transfer high-level talents in technology transfer management for governments and enterprises. Secondly, they jointly agreed to build a technology achievement transformation platform that focuses on frontier fields of microelectronics and AI, jointly constructing the industrial institute to make key breakthroughs in low-altitude flight technology R&D, large model applications in the industry and other directions, simultaneously promoting the implementation of the “one park one fund” mode, providing capital backup with supportive funds, and accelerating the process of technology industrialization. Thirdly, they committed to deepening the scenario innovation of AI empowerment, developing special models for the industry based on the potential of AI in talent services and industrial applications, exploring the profound applications of AI technology in intelligent talent screening, technical broker services and other scenarios, and facilitating service efficiency upgrading.

The seminar was another practical measure between both parties after the strategic cooperation memorandum signed in 2024. For the next step, both parties promised to establish a special working group to specify the implementation plan for collaborative projects so that practical actions could be carried out to promote the construction of the modernized industrial system and talent highland in Sichuan.
