This marked a substantial step taken by both parties in the fields of industry-education integration and collaborative talent cultivation.

Diversified cooperation empowerment to construct a cross-border e-commerce talent cultivation ecology

At the seminar, both parties focused on the core theme of “university-industry cooperation in cultivating compound talents in cross-border e-commerce”. They made profound analysis on multi-level, multidimensional cooperation paths. As for subject studies, discussions were made on jointly conducting special research on “Sino-Russia cross-border e-commerce policies and market trends”, “applications of digital payment technology in cross-border transactions.” Both parties hope that the academic resources of the school and the practical experience of the enterprise could be integrated in order to provide theoretical support and decision reference for the development of the industry.

For innovation and entrepreneurship of college students, both parties planned to establish a “cross-border e-commerce entrepreneurship incubation base” together, which, based on the global supply chain network of Wildberries and the innovation and entrepreneurship education system of Fudan, provided students with project incubation, resource docking, practical guidance and other relevant support, helping to land and transform excellent entrepreneurial projects. At the same time, the two are also planning to cooperate in holding a “cross-border e-commerce global development forum”, inviting academic experts and industry leaders to discuss frontier fields of the industry and building an exchange platform with international influence.

In-depth industry-education integration to build a service system for enterprises to go overseas

In response to the “Belt and Road” Initiative and helping Chinese enterprises to efficiently spread their layout to Russian and Eastern European markets, both parties reached the cooperation intention on “series training for enterprises to go overseas”. FISF will develop customized courses like “cross-border e-commerce compliance management”, “digital marketing in overseas markets” and “collaborative optimization of supply chain”, providing whole-chain training services for enterprises to improve the global operational capability of Chinese enterprises.

Focusing on future development and launching long-term strategic cooperation

At the seminar, representatives of both parties talked about the cooperative framework and major tasks in the next three years. As discussed, both parties would establish a normalized communication mechanism and carry out all-round cooperation in fields of talent cultivation, scientific research and social services for the purpose of promoting the in-depth integration of the education chain, talent chain, industry chain and innovation chain.

Deputy Dean Huasheng Gao noted at the seminar that this cooperation was a significant practice of the school’s school-running principle of “industry-education integration”, and more an active measure in the context of the “tariff war” provoked by the US recently. It was expected that through in-depth coordination with Wildberries, the school could cultivate compound talents with both global visions and practical capabilities and contribute Fudan wisdom to the high-quality development of the cross-border e-commerce industry in China. Viacheslav Savin (Wen Hong), Representative of Wildberries, pointed out that China had accumulated globally eye-catching experience in e-commerce innovation, so the enterprise looked forward to working together with Fudan to build a talent bridge for Sino-Russia economic and trade cooperation and push forward bilateral trade digital transformation.

The profound exchange of university-enterprise cooperation this time not only provided Fudan students with a broader practice platform and development opportunities but also injected new kinetic energy into the in-depth integration of the Sino-Russia cross-border e-commerce industry. In the future, both parties would steadily advance a series of issues in the partnership, composing in joint efforts a new chapter of university-enterprise collaboration and win-win benefit.
