Jun Qian, Executive Dean of FISF and Professor in Finance, was invited to attend the symposium to have discussions and speeches upon major issues involving the “15th Five-Year” Plan for the capital market together with other experts including Weiguo Zhang, Full-time Professor of Practice at the Dishui Lake Advanced Finance Institute, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics; Xijun Zhao, Co-Dean of the China Capital Market Research Institute at Renmin University of China; Xiao Cao, Deputy Dean of the School of Finance, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics; Chengzhang Yang, Chief Economist of SWS Research Institute; Shi Qi, Chairman of East Money Information Co., Ltd.; Wen Li, Honorary Chairman of China Universal Asset Management Co., Ltd.; Yexin Zhu, Executive Committee Member of CITIC Securities; and Peng Wu, Executive Committee Member of China Galaxy Securities. Relevant research teams under the Macro and Industry Specialized Committee reported on the research progress of the “15th Five-Year Plan”, and officials from the General Operations Department of the CSRC were also present.

At the symposium, experts unanimously agreed that strengthening research on major issues concerning the reform, development, and stability of the capital market during the “15th Five-Year Plan” period and ensuring the high-quality formulation and implementation of the plan in the capital market are of great significance for promoting high-quality development of the capital market and better serving Chinese modernization. They offered forward-looking and constructive opinions and suggestions on a range of topics including improving the inclusiveness and adaptability of the capital market system, refining the function of the capital market to balance investment and financing, developing a multi-tiered capital market system, upraising the quality and investment value of listed companies, and advancing high-level institutional opening-up of the capital market.
