FISF Wins Bid on Key Research Subject of the “14th Five-year Plan” of the Construction of Shanghai International Financial Center

Recently, the bidding on key research subjects of the “14th Five-year Plan” involving the construction of Shanghai International Financial Center unveiled bid winners. Research on Mid- and Long-Term Development Trend of International Financial Centers and Status Promotion of Shanghai International Financial Center under COVID-19, the subject led by Professor Qian Jun, Executive Dean of FISF, was among those on the list of chosen projects.


The “14th Five-year Plan” period will be the initial stage for the construction of Shanghai International Financial Center to step towards a higher level on the basis of fully realizing of the goals of 2020. To smoothly carry out the planning and preparation for upgrading the energy level of Shanghai International Financial Center during the “14th Five-year Plan” period, to conduct in-depth research on major issues and ideas of the construction of Shanghai International Financial Center, to extensively gather the wisdom of all social parties and to practically reflect the open-up planning concept, Shanghai Municipal Financial Regulatory Bureau held an open bidding among social organizations to select key research subjects of the “14th Five-year Plan” of the construction of Shanghai International Financial Center.


The selected subject plan to focus on the performance of the global economy and financial market under COVID-19, make in-depth research and analysis on the medium- and long-term development trends of international financial centers under COVID-19 based on inconstant novel tendency. On this foundation, the main target and key breakthrough direction of the construction of Shanghai International Financial Center will be put forward.




Other members participating in the subject include: Professor Gao Huasheng, Associate Dean of FISF, Professor Chen Huafeng, Assistant Professor Sun Lin, Assistant Professor Zhou Sili and Assistant Researcher Gu Yan. Additionally, plenty of thinktank institutions have sent active responses since the release of the key research subject of the “14th Five-year Plan.
