Global Top Experts Meeting at FISF Fudan University to Discuss “B & R” and Explore New Dynamics of Market Development

The“B & R”Market Development & Creation Forum co-organized by FISF Fudan University, School of Economy, Fudan University and Research Institute of B & R and Global Governance, Fudan University took place on April 10, 2018 successfully.


The forum invited Hans Peter Lankes, VP of the World Bank Group International Finance Corporation (IFC); Zhou Hanmin, standing member of the National Committee of the CPPCC,Vice Chairman of the Democratic National Construction Association, Director Member of Shanghai Municipal Committee of Democratic National Construction Association and Vice Chairman of the Shanghai CPPCC, Yan Haoquan, Chief Economist ofWorld Bank Group International Finance Corporation (IFC), Prof. Qian Jun, Executive Dean of FISF Fudan University, Fu Xinbo, Executive Dean of International Affairs Institute, FISF Fudan University, and Wan Guanghua, President of World Economy Institute, Fudan University made keynote speeches and roundtable dialogues on “B & R” issues to explore in depth the new opportunities created by the “B&R” in order to create new market dynamics and promote the development of globalization.



These years the recovery of the global economy is weak, and the trend of “reverse globalization” is surging. The governments of all countries should look for new growth momentum to achieve inclusive growth. Inclusive growth requires joint development. The key to linkage development is infrastructure interconnection and interoperability. The interconnection of facilities is a priority area and an important breakthrough in the construction of “B&R”. At the forum, from various perspectivesincluidng the government, international organizations, think tanks, and other aspects, participants fully discussed the profound connotation and far-reaching significance of the “B&R” construction in order to create new market dynamics while discussing the practical experience of infrastructure construction for interconnection and interoperability.


The “B & R” initiative has provided a new approach and a new approach to counter the challenges of “reverse globalization”. It helps the economies along the “B & R” to enhance their competitiveness and triggers and nurtures new world economic growth points. In response to the national “B & R” initiative and give full play to the comprehensive advantages of “university + international business school”, taking the mission of “based on international financial vision, serving financial strategy of the country, cultivating top financial talents, and constructing top financial think tanks”, FISF Fudan University is actively participating in the construction of “B & R” think tanks, focusing on the fields of economy, finance, personnel training and international issues involved in the construction of the “B & R” strategy, and playing the role in “think tankconstruction, theoretical research, personnel training, and platform building”,giving forward-looking, innovative and operational policy recommendations for China’s further all-directional advancement of the “B & R” construction and providingintellectual support and talent protection for the “B & R” construction.
