Together with business executives from Zhejiang Rongsheng Group, Tsinghua Unigroup and Zhaopin.com, they share their opinions and proposals on issues of economic operation, private enterprise development, technological innovation and employment situation.
Premier Li Keqiang pointed out that Chinese economy and society had acquired hard-won achievements since the beginning of this year. Under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, the whole country steadily advanced in various aspects: coordinating the different objectives of stablizing economic growth, promoting innovative reform, adjusting the economy structure, improving living standards of the people, preventing possible risks, and actively coping with challenges. Nevertheless, the complex changes in both domestic and international environments would exert new downward pressure on economic operations. As a result, the pressure for enterprises also increased. In order to overcome such difficulties, we must stimulate the people’s initiative with firm confidence and plan for next year's development meticulously, according to the guidance laid out by the Party Central Committee and the State Council. Only in this way could we ensure that the economy functions within the reasonable range, heading toward a high-quality development.
During the symposium, Professor Wei Shangjin tabled several proposals on the new challenges China faces, including the main problems of the current trade and economic crisis brought by the USA. Meanwhile, he made an analysis on how to better reduce taxes and fees.
