On April 8^th, Fudan University and JezeTek Group held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony in Mianyang City, Sichuan. Zheng Xu, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Executive Vice President of Fudan University, led the representative team to visit JezeTek Group for investigation and exchange, having in-depth discussions on deepening university-enterprise cooperation and promoting industry-university-research integration with Baoping Yang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Board Chairman of JezeTek Group, and other senior management of the enterprise.

Accompanied by leaders of JezeTek Group, Vice President Zheng Xu and his team first visited JezeTek Innovation Exhibition Center to get a comprehensive understanding of the group’s industrial layout, technology innovation achievements and future development plans in low-altitude economy, electronic information and intelligent equipment. The expert team of Fudan University gave high praise to JezeTek’s core technology breakthroughs in the low-altitude control and avionics fields.

At the symposium, both parties conducted in-depth discussions on the topic of “the integration development of low-altitude economy and artificial intelligence”. They focused on frontier subjects like the construction of low-altitude testing standard system, research and development of intelligent payload technology for unmanned aerial vehicles as well as verification of platform airworthiness, and exchanged opinions on innovative applications of AI technology in low-altitude fields.

Witnessed by all the attending guests, JezeTek Integration Innovation Research Center and Chengdu Fudan Western International Financial Research Institute officially signed a cooperation agreement upon building a “Joint Laboratory of Low-altitude Artificial Intelligence Technology” together. The lab will concentrate on three key directions: firstly tackling essential technology together, secondly cultivating and incubating hi-tech start-ups, and thirdly implementing the industrialization of mature technologies, aiming to build a full-chain innovation system of “basic research - technology development - achievement transformation”.

Baoping Yang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Board Chairman of JezeTek Group, said, “This cooperation is an important practice of collaborative innovation between universities and enterprises. We will give full play to our industrial advantages, and in combination with Fudan University’s scientific research power, together break the technology bottleneck in the field of low-altitude economy.”

Zheng Xu, Executive Vice President of Fudan University stress, “This strategic cooperation is a key measure taken by Fudan University to serve major strategic demands of the country and promote scientific achievement transformation. We will utilize the multidisciplinary advantage of the school and work together with JezeTek Group to explore new ways to maximize industry-university-research cooperation.”

Relevant persons in charge of both parties attended the activity, including Haidong Xie, Member of the Party Committee and Vice General Manager, Yin Tian, Member of the Party Committee and Chief Engineer of JezeTek Group; Xi Zhou, Director of External Cooperation Office, Zhongxue Gan, Deputy Dean of Engineering and Applied Technology Research Institute and Director of Intelligent Robot Research Institute, Yuanhong Li, Deputy Dean of Chengdu Fudan Western International Financial Research Institute, and Fuyong Niu, Expert in Low-altitude Economics at Engineering and Applied Technology Research Institute, Fudan University.

This strategic cooperation marks the successful landing of another key achievement of strategic layout in the low-altitude economic field made by Chengdu Fudan Western International Financial Research Institute. Taking this cooperation as an opportunity, the institute will continue to further the collaborative innovation with JezeTek Group in various fields of low-altitude economy, such as the core technology, standard system and industrial ecology. The two parties will establish a normalized communication mechanism and regularly hold technical seminars and achievement docking conferences to push forward the efficient execution of major projects. Meanwhile, based on the multidisciplinary advantage of Fudan University and the technology and resource accumulation of JezeTek Group in the low-altitude industry, the two will jointly work on advancing low-altitude AI technology and low-altitude equipment industrialization, carry out combined cultivation of high-end technical talents and accelerate the transformation of technological achievements, building new engines for high-quality low-altitude development.
