For 120 years, Fudan people have been measuring the world with wisdom. Now we are launching a new chapter in the surge of capital, innovation of technology and leap of the market with a new financial paradigm in the digital era. Emerging from a second round of 60 years, the Fudan International School of Finance, one of the most vital and innovative schools from the long-established university, has upheld the academic tradition of “learning extensively and having a firm and sincere aim; inquiring with earnestness and reflecting with self-application” in a spirited posture, devoted to cultivating extraordinary talents with both global perspective and deep native ploughing, financial wisdom and technological insights. At the time of “the blended glory of sunshine and moonlight,” we specially designed a “Future Financier Summer Camp” to make Fudan financial wisdom continuously shine in the new era.

Brief introduction of the course

The 2025 “Future Financier Summer Camp” organized by FISF will last for three days and provide bilingual teaching in both Chinese and English. With double tracks of topic lectures and practical activities, it will deeply focus on the three dimensions of financial foundation, financial application and financial prospects, unlocking the mysteries of the financial world from all aspects.

Here, the students will be able to:

• Develop an immersive perception of the campus culture and the new profound foundation of century-old Fudan University
• Take full-English interactive classes and seamlessly docking new international perspectives
• Study AI+fintech and have an insight into the new economic prospect in the future
• Communicate with top-leading gurus in the industry and together building a new highland of frontier thoughts
• Step out of the classroom to explore the industry and open new dimensions of career cognition
• Deeply integrate in technology experiments and decode new cutting-edge innovations
• Link with multinational cultural genes and forge new multidimensional thinking paradigms

Student Chu:

After attending the fintech summer camp, I have more deeply understood and experienced in the fintech field. In the summer camp, I learned about block chain, AI, risk evaluation and other knowledge in the fintech field, and through hands-on operation, deepened the understanding and applications of such knowledge. The professors’ explanations gave me a more accurate realization of the inner meaning and outer extension of fintech, as well as a more vivid picture of the influence and significance of fintech on traditional financial industrial and social sustainability. Besides study, the camp also offered an excellent social platform, where I made friends with students from different schools. Through exchange and cooperation, we learned from and helped each other, and went hand in hand to explore the fintech world, which largely broadened my horizon and visions. I believe this experience will profoundly influence and inspire my future study and career development.

Student Lu:

The three-day fintech selective camp was a splendid experience for me. Students from different key high schools gathered here, developing from little knowledge in the financial investment field to a deep understanding of how finance-technology integration accelerates social development through learning. Leaders in the fintech circle and excellent mentors used their abundant experience, vivid cases and charming words to display the huge potentials and vast prospects of this field. The carefully arranged courses, lectures and visits opened whole-new perspectives for us, making the three-day activity invaluable and unforgettable. Also memorable was the fintech innovation competition in groups. Under the inspiration and guidance of the teachers, we managed to probe deep into social issues, explore how technology empowers people a better life and get to know innovative applications of fintech. Every group member enjoyed such exchange of minds and close cooperation, which provided us with not only new interests and directions but also friendship. What has been carved in our memory is the understanding comprehension, wonderful moments and interesting scenes, brightening the entire summer.

Student Chen:

Before the summer camp officially started, everyone was asked to write down three key words for an ideal summer camp, and I wrote inspirational, cooperative and passionate. Looking back from now, these three words could exactly summarize the three-day experience. Firstly, cooperative. We were grouped at random upon arriving at the camp. In just three days we needed to break the ice, get familiar with each other, know the positions of every member in the team, complete group tasks together and make presentations. As an E-type person, I actively took the position of the group leader. Together, we listened to each other’s opinions, reflected on various issues and made contradictions and discussions whenever needed, such as on the bus, during lecture gaps and at lunch breaks. Through these processes, we gradually perfected our scheme while at the same time strengthening the actual feeling of being a team. The dozens of versions of PPT in our WeChat group demonstrated our pursuit for perfection, and the encouraging cheers for each other marked the spirit of our team. We had rehearsed over and over again late in the empty classroom at Guanghua Tower, and our joint efforts were rewarded with the second-place award. By cooperating harmoniously, we have utilized our own advantages and also acquired precious friendship. Secondly, passionate. The professors brought passionate lectures to share with us their own experiences and frontier information in the industry. They infected us with their enthusiasm, leading the students deep into the ocean of finance. Thirdly, inspirational. In the three-day summer camp, not only did we listen to lectures, we also personally walked into enterprises and actually communicate with professors. We had hands-on operation of options and futures and thus developed a more profound and comprehensive understanding of finance in practice, as well as a greater interest in financial learning.
