Keynote Speech:

Perceiving the trends, Leading the future

The forum specially invited two industry leaders to give keynote speeches, making in-depth analysis on the new trends and new opportunities for technology-finance integrated development.

Minmin Dai, Deputy Party Secretary and President of Shanghai State-owned Capital Investment Co., Ltd, shared a speech entitled Constructing Patient Capital Ecology, Empowering Technology-Industry Innovative Integration. He talked about the key role of patient capital in technology innovation. Dai held that technology innovation had entered the “deep water area”, needing patient capital for key support, and at the same time must break through the innovation resource barriers to construct a complete ecology of technology-industry integration. In this process, it is required to focus on youth talent growth and build a fresh troop of innovative talents. By implementing a variety of practical measures including setting up a fund matrix matching with the innovation chain, laying out the three major leading industries (integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, biomedicine), future industries and other strategic commanding elevation of the industrial chain, deepening the collaborative network of innovative fountainhead, strengthening the fountainhead system in depth, improving the talent-driven transformation mechanism, and building a research system for characteristic industries from a high starting point, Shanghai State-owned Capital Investment is committed to empowering innovative technology-industry integration. In the end, Minmin Dai conveyed his expectation for further cross-industry cooperation between Shanghai State-owned Capital Investment and Fudan University in deep integration of various resource elements like “Government-Industry-University-Research-Finance-Service-Application Collaboration”, building collaborative innovation “friend circle” both inside and outside the university and addressing core issues of technology achievement transformation together. In this way, they could provide support for technology innovation and youth talent growth, helping to achieve national high-level technological self-reliance and self-improvement.
