On June 16th 2025, FISF welcomed a heavyweight guest, Christopher A. Pissarides, 2021 Nobel Laureate for Economics and Member of FISF International Advisory Committee. Professor Pissarides has taken a post at London School of Economics and Political Science in Britain.

During his visit, Professor Pissarides visited the new campus of FISF, and highly praised the school’s construction achievements and development plan. Later, he had an in-depth communication with school leaders like Jun Qian, Executive Dean of FISF and Professor in Finance, Charles Zhang, Deputy Dean of FISF and Professor in Finance and Huasheng Gao, Deputy Dean of Faculty and Research and Professor in Finance; and also made a intensive discussion with Haihan Tang, Associate Professor in Finance, Xiaxin Wang, Associate Professor in Economics, Chang Ma, Associate Professor in Finance, Lin Sun, Associate Professor in Finance, Chunliu Yang, Assistant Professor in Finance, Mengfan Yi, Lecturer in Accounting, as well as students representatives from various programs regarding topics related to the global economic situation, reform in the employment market and the development trend of artificial intelligence. Through his profound academic achievements and original insights, Professor Pissarides conveyed a high-level academic exchange with the teachers and students present. He patiently answered everyone’s questions, winning admiration with his modest and genial demeanor as a scholar. All the teachers and students taking part in the exchange said that this up-close dialogue had not only broadened their horizons but also stimulated their passion for academic research.
