Release time:2025-07-21

On July 11th 2025, FISF “Future Financier” Summer Camp ended successfully. As a financial enlightenment program established by FISF for excellent high school students worldwide, the summer camp this year eventually gathered 60 excellent students from Shanghai, Guangdong, Hong Kong and other parts of China as well as other countries like Thailand and Indonesia after self-registration and the school’s strict screening, exploring the integration and innovation of artificial intelligence and fintech together.

In the immersive learning in the three-day camp, focusing on the theme of “in-depth integration of artificial intelligence and fintech” and through multiple methods of special lectures, on-site visits and financial innovation challenges, the young students systematically explored the innovative application of frontier technology in the financial field, including intelligent algorithm, blockchain technology and big data analysis. They fully displayed the profound insights in fintech development and disciplinary thinking abilities of Generation Z, showcasing the outstanding performance of youngsters in the digital economy era and their potential to grow into future financial leaders in the new era.

Wisdom enlightenment: a gateway to the hall of finance

Wisdom enlightenment starts from the very act of knocking on the door. From Professor Guoshi Tong’s elaboration of the instrumental rationality of mutual funds to Deputy Dean Charles Zhang’s exploration into the value of the essence of finance; from Professor Hulai Zhang’s illustration of the disruptive power of AI to reshape the industry to Professor Xiaoyin Ma’s lively cases of fintech for inclusive prosperity; from General Manager Qiming Dai’s cross-domain life wisdom to President Jason’s cultivation of global vision and innovative thinking; from Secretary Yuejiang Li’s earnest request of “holding the courage to explore, thinking actively and daring to ask” to Dean Jun Qian’s interpretation of the financial mission of “Excellence, Responsibility and Innovation”. For each camper, the core lectures and sharing in the summer camp has not only constructed their understanding of the solid financial framework in the past, at present and in the future, but more importantly sowed the seeds of exploring the true essence of finance in their inner hearts.

Deep cultivation: frontier outlook and practical simulation

The key point of deep cultivation is to explore new territories with fertile soil. On the afternoon of the first day of the camp, the campers set off on the journey of enterprise visits and practical learning. Through on-site visits, the students got a close look at the development of Huifu Co., Ltd, its cooperative service partners, innovative models of financial payment services and real business operation process. By observing the evolution process of payment modes, they developed a deep understanding of the strong function of innovation-driven financial reforms.

On the second day of the camp, the students were faced with the intense and exciting segment of “transaction simulation” in the financial laboratory of FISF. In response to the fluctuating market data, they became “little traders” who utilized the knowledge they had learned to analyze, make decisions and place orders. The numbers flickering on the screen had everyone’s nerves on edge. The real trading environment instantly brought the classroom knowledge to life. In the “daily summary and trading strategy review” segment after the transactions, Professor Yuenong Xu had heated discussions with the students, transforming their practical experience into precious cognition.

Blossom: technology empowerment and surging mind

The blossoming brilliance comes from integration and innovation. On the last day of the camp, the students came to Meta-Creation Center Interaction Lab. Through interactive experience, they directly witnessed how AI and big data reshaped the current service forms.

In the “FinTalk: from seniors to future you” in the afternoon, the topic switched from future outlook back to personal paths. Senior students sincerely shared the vivid growth maps as “Fudan Financiers” one by one, and talked about the study life in the 120-year-old Fudan, the exploring experience in the professional fields and possibilities in future career development, connecting the hard work at present with the bright landscape in the future for the students.

The atmosphere of the summer camp came to a climax when the grand finale segment of “financial challenge” was held. On the pinnacle stage that integrates knowledge and examines understandings, each team could fully present their respective knowledge sedimentation and innovative thinking. Focusing on the core topic set at the opening of the camp, 6 teams demonstrated the professional demeanor and innovative thinking required to be future financiers through tacit cooperation and confident presentation.

And in the overtime part, the students studied frontier topics like blockchain empowerment, AI risk control modeling and ESG investment strategies, and with their original perspective of young people and distinctive narrative logic, generated sparks of innovation unique to the new fintech generation in idea exchange, drawing a successful conclusion to the three-day in-depth learning.

Heartfelt thoughts: echoing and resonance

The melody within heartfelt thoughts finds its voice in the vibrating string of resonance. The “Future Financier” Summer Camp held its significance not just in the cutting-edge knowledge and abundant activities, but more about igniting the sparks in the inner hearts of youngsters, secretly pushing open the dream door of these young souls toward the financial world. At this moment, let’s listen to the passion awakened and feel the true response to the resonance of thoughts.

Student Yumeng Shen

The four lectures in the summer camp explained complicated financial investment in an easy-to-understand way, with not only rigorous logic data and professional expertise, but also nourishment of finance in the breath of daily life. I have gained a lot from the lectures. Beyond classroom learning, we also took part in a series of colorful and interesting activities. For example, the on-site enterprise visit allowed us to personally experience the operating mechanisms of financial institutions like Huifu. Co., Ltd, which acts as the bridge for money circulation among enterprises and plays a role in pushing forward the development of the digitized era. In the mini game of futures transaction simulation, we three team members cooperated with each other tacitly, and gradually learned to make decisive decisions in a market with both risks and opportunities. Additonally, we optimized our investment strategies step by step through exciting and mind-blowing experiments. In the interactive lab, we were astonished by the clear and vivid brain activities displayed in images for analysis when we put on the device.

What kind of school do I think Fudan is? I once thought about this question when walking in the campus shaded by green trees and feeling the moist wind slapping on my face. Be an extraordinary and interesting Fudan member - not only excellent, but also not calculating; not only interesting, but also enthusiastic and flexible; not only paying attention to students’ personal growth, but also imperceptibly nourishing every corner of society. Looking forward to officially joining the big family of Fudan someday!

Student Chengyi Le

I’m very honored to attend the “Future Financier” Summer Camp. Though lasting only three days, it is a tempering of cognition. Here we exchanged thoughts with students from all over China and abroad, we got a glimpse of the nervousness and coldness of digital finance in a top financial institution; and personally, experienced the suffocating collapse and blood-pumping rise of assets in the transaction simulation training. What I’ve learned at the summer camp is far more than the knowledge from textbooks. It allowed me to touch the surging pulse of capital, and under the guidance of the mentors, I was no longer dazzled by the brilliance of the grand tower of finance, but get in touch with its beauty of logic and ration by myself.

Great thanks to FISF, and to all the guiding teachers at the summer camp.

Student Cayene Ding

Over the three-day summer camp held by FISF, I fully experienced the learning mode in university. From lectures given by a series of academic gurus to visit enterprises on site, from the campus of Fudan University to the stock trade simulation in the lab, not to mention the group presentation I personally took part in, everywhere I can feel the atmosphere of pursuing excellence and developing freely that is unique to Fudan. By practicing in various ways, we gradually had further recognition of international finance and technology. Just as Dean Professor Qian said, “A safe environment for free discussion is the most essential element for education, and that’s what we’ve done in the past three days.”

Similarly important, we not only learned basic financial knowledge, we were also introduced to several methodologies for learning and dealing with setbacks that can benefit us lifelong. “Making progress from persistence to resilience” guides us to constantly enhance our resilience and make timely adjustments when having difficulty; the thinking method and inspirations we’ve got also stimulate us to keep learning. I was especially touched by the word of a professor, “The goal of financiers is to help the less privileged.” This saying helps us to stick to our inner heart and help those in need despite the many temptations of money we will encounter every day in the financial industry.

In conclusion, the three-day summer camp provided us with full understanding of different types of financial knowledge as well as an in-person experience of the free learning atmosphere at Fudan University, granting whole-new longings and targets toward future. Thanks to FISF for offering such a fun learning opportunity!

During the Fudan Financer Camp, in those three days we explored and learned more about fintech by doing hands on activities, lectures, and team projects. I also learned how technology is rapidly changing finance and how AI will play a bigger role in the future. It was also interesting to see how people from different backgrounds had different perspectives and ideas as we all got to share our ideas together, moreover cooperating with them throughout the three-day period to make a presentation regarding fintech. Even though it was a short program, it gave me a better understanding of university life and what I might want to study in the future.

Yumi (Thailand)

During my time interning in Fudan University’s Finacier course, I was able to learn more about the importance and significance of fintech in today’s world especially due to the recent incline in integration of AI. The bilingual course allowed me to further develop my language acquisition, and providing a multicultural view on fintech and its potential in the future. The course consists of multiple approaches in learning such as presentation, lecture, simulation and group work in the span of 3 days by Fudan university teacher which accommodates different learning styles of each student.

Overall, this experience created a creating learning environment filled with students with similar interest. If you are finding an experience like a university experience.

During FISF’s Future Financier Summer Camp, I learned so much about the world of fintech, AI, and especially enjoyed the practical lab sessions on day trading! Whilst preparing for the team’s presentation, I was particularly thrilled to be assigned to work behind the scenes, researching intensely on the future problems of China’s E-RMB currency and strategizing the structure and format on the flow of the overall presentation.
